..The Earth says Hello!

I'm out of ideas for the titles of my daily blogs, so I'm choosing random song lyrics. Today I learned that on a scale from 1 to 10, my daily eating habits are at a 6, which is double what the average person is at...according to my trainer. That is good news. The bad news, this week has been so hard for some reason! I have had so many cravings and I have been so extra hungry! I think my body is trying to mess with me. Well, I am not going to give in! I did have some chips and salsa today for lunch and I just can't do that! My trainer wants me to start the Flat Belly Diet, which I started back in August. It's a really good diet and I wanted to stay on it, but my hubby was doing it with me and it's just too expensive for both of us. It is going to have to wait for a while anyway. Finances are running a little low this month after Christmas. Hopefully I can start up in Feb. with it. Well, as the day is almost over, I won't write my goals for the day. I did a lot, but also relaxed today. I did make it to the gym and I was sweating like crazy! Goodnight my faithful readers! I am off to have a protein shake for "dessert".

  1. I hope things work out with this expensive diet. I'm not sure how well a diet works if you're only on it for a while then you go back to eating regular food. I've really tried to make lifestyle changes that I can keep up with in my regular life. I don't have dramatic success, but I also don't have to dramatically change my life either. I'm hoping to be under 140 by the end of next week for the first time in 2 years!

I think we spend less on food because we eat so many fruits and vegetables and we feel full more. Because I already feel full, I don't want to eat treats which cost plenty (if you buy pre-packaged treats).

I also watch the sales and stock up on stuff that we eat regularly--our freezer is always overflowing with meat--I have pounds of whole-wheat spaghetti--we have 50 lbs of dried beans (which are super easy, cheap, and tasty).

Good luck with the diet--and be careful that you aren't getting scammed.

  2. Jenna, the diet is exactly how you are eating. It's making little changes, like whole wheat pasta and lots of veggies. It's actually a great diet that doesn't feel like a diet. It's a lifestyle change. The only on and off thing is the Sassy Water (water with lemon, cucumber, mint and ginger) that is a cleanser that you drink for the first 4 days. That's all my trainer really wants me to do right now anyway is the cleanser. I know the difference between short term and long tern diets...read my next post!
