HCG diet

I am so sick and tired of hearing about the HCG diet! For those of you who don't know about it, it is this diet where you only eat 500 calories and then you can either do injections or drops of this hormone called HCG that supposedly makes your body attack the fat instead of the muscle while you are starving yourself...the only problem with this is that you can't exercise while you are on the diet. So, I have a friend who started it in October and she has already lost 40 lbs! It's disgusting and I looked into doing it, but I just don't feel good about it. I want to build muscle and be able to run and not be weary! I want to exercise! I want to eat more than 500 calories a day! I know the minute she stops the diet it's all going to come back, but it's so hard to see her get those fast results while I am still plugging along with almost no results! What is wrong with my body?! It is fighting so hard to hang on to this stupid weight and I just don't know what to do anymore. I have had the worst cravings this week and I have resisted, but I have been so darn hungry! I think I am doomed to stay this weight the rest of my life...Sorry for the pity party. I am just really frustrated tonight. Goals that I accomplished today..I made it to the gym. That is about it. I ate too much spaghetti for dinner and now I am probably going to gain my 4 lbs. back! AHHH!!!!!!

  1. ok girl let me tell you a little bit about HCG. I tried and am not ashamed to admit it, at all. I just wanted to try it and did one round (17 days) of it. Eating 500 cals was actually easy, I got an appetite suppressent and only needed to use it for the first few days, and I loved not having to make feed all day long! I lost 8 lbs my first week and it is pure fat that is lost. HCG as you know is the prego hormone and your body would never make a hormone that attacks your muscles to get the nutrients. It also resets your matabalism and my mother in-law and I are proof of that. To prove that it's not the 500 cal diet that makes you lose the weight I got Ketone strips that you pee on, and they will tell you if you are in the "fat burning" stage. The darker the color on the strip the more fat you are burning. When I was doing the shots and the diet I was always in the highest or second highest stage but when I was done with the shots and doing the diet for the little while after I was never in a high fat burning stage. HCG is something that I would only do as a fast jump start and NOT long term. It gave me instant results and reset my thymus, and got me so excited again and gave me the boost I needed. You can work out while doing it as well, you just need to listen to your body, I did and just kept it simple and I kept toning up. I really liked it but again only for a good boost. I would never do it longer than that, I believe in a normal healthy diet and lots of good exercise! So there's my experience, take it for what you will :)
